Activity Objective: To practice math skills associated with counting and fine motor skills associated with cutting and pasting.

Materials Needed:

1. Construction paper

2. Markers

3. Scissors 

4. Glue

Procedures/Strategies:

a. Have children cut out triangles for 5 carrots on orange paper and glue these to a piece of brown construction paper. Help them write the numbers 1 through 5 on each carrot (or other numbers, or even equations if they are at that level)

b. Then have children cut green paper into strips. Tell them this will be the grass part for each carrot and they should glue the number of strips of graph that is written on each carrot.
